This project explores the woodland's hidden communication and the whispers beneath the forest floor. Looking at the selfless characters of trees, how the mother tree provides for its saplings, how the dying gives its resources to the healthy, and how trees work together so they can all grow to their full potential. The mycorrhizal network, also known as the wood wide web, is an extensive network of fungi that bring together the plant life and trees. Through this network, the trees can create a community, and some a family.
